DESCRIPTION:Celebrate National Trails Day at Hoyt Arboretum! Did you know that Hoyt Arboretum has 12 miles of trails to explore the 189-acres that make up our living tree collection? You can volunteer on June 4 to help care for Hoyt Arboretum’s trail system with a variety of hands-on stewardship projects.  Volunteers are incredibly important to maintaining Hoyt Arboretum’s tree collection and trail system\, and it’s a unique opportunity for volunteers to learn about and care for rare and unusual trees and plants from around the world.\nStewardship crews occur rain or shine; volunteers should come dressed for the weather including long pants and sturdy\, closed-toed shoes. \nVolunteers should plan to bring a water bottle\, snacks\, and sun protection. \nNo previous stewardship crew experience is required; training\, tools\, gloves\, and volunteer parking passes are provided. Registration is required (crew size is limited).

DESCRIPTION:Come and sing amongst the trees! In this class\, you will experience connection and harmony through singing with others in a natural setting.  The class will begin by gathering to sing simple songs inspired by nature.  Then participants will spend time gathering their own inspiration\, through walking and observing in the nearby forest.  The group will gather again to build songs and rhythms based on what was observed. No singing experience is required.
