Experience a two-hour guided forest bathing walk through Hoyt Arboretum’s unique tree collection and forested areas. Forest Bathing (also known as Forest Therapy) offers many health benefits from stress relief to immune system and mood support.

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a free koto performance by Oregon Koto-Kai at 1:15pm at the Cathy Rudd Cultural Corner in the Jordan Schnitzer Japanese Arts Learning Center. The standard Koto harp is a thirteen-string plucked zither. It was introduced to Japan from China through the Korean Peninsula in the 7th century.

Spend time creating with others who are exploring nature journaling in a supportive space. Follow Elizabeth’s fun and easy drawing and painting exercises to learn creative approaches for capturing the beauty of trees\, plants\, and wildlife in a nature journal. This program will take place indoors at the Visitor Center library so class size is limited. No experience is necessary.
