Washington Park Free Shuttle

The Washington Park Free Shuttle Loop provides daily, year-round service throughout the Park. View the Free Shuttle real-time tracker below. Hours vary by season.

April – September | 9:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. • Every 15-30 minutes

October – March | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. • Every 15-30 minutes

Holiday Hours:

Closed | Wednesday, December 25th • Christmas Day

Tracker tip: Shuttles are identified by large purple circles with white arrows, while designated stops are marked with smaller purple and white circles. The purple line is the Free Shuttle route.

The Free Shuttle runs on a loop inside Washington Park and arrives every 15-30 minutes, stopping at the Park’s major destinations and cultural institutions. The Free Shuttle will service the Arlington Heights neighborhood as it loops around the Park.

Stops include:

  • Washington Park MAX Light Rail Station/Oregon Zoo/World Forestry Center
  • Vietnam Veterans of Oregon Memorial
  • Hoyt Arboretum
  • Kingston/Tichner
  • Lewis & Clark Monument
  • Oregon Holocaust Memorial
  • Int’l Rose Test Garden/Portland Japanese Garden
  • Archery Range

If traveling to the Park via MAX, catch the Free Shuttle on the plaza level of the Washington Park MAX Light Rail Station.
If traveling to the Park via TriMet Line 63, catch the Free Shuttle at the Int’l Rose Test Garden/Portland Japanese Garden stop.

All shuttles are wheelchair accessible.

  • Pets are not allowed, except for service animals
  • Drivers will only make stops at designated Free Shuttle stops
  • Smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages are prohibited
