Yes! There is a fee for parking at the International Rose Test Garden.

Pay per hour: $2.40

Pay per day: $9.60

Be sure to note your license plate when paying for parking. You can pay at parking meters or pay-by-phone using the Parking Kitty app.

Remember to bring your bags, electronics, and keys with you, and be sure to lock up before leaving your parked car.

Trip Tip: Avoid the stress of parking and take TriMet to Washington Park. If you live close enough, you walking or biking might also be great alternative transportation options.

When do roses bloom?

Roses typically begin to bloom around mid-May. Roses tend to be in peak bloom late in the month of May and early June. Other flowers in bloom at this time include camellias and rhododendrons.

How can I volunteer at the International Rose Test Garden?

Visit the Friends of the International Rose Test Garden’s website, send them a message, and fill out the required forms.

Volunteers schedule their time within weekday time blocks:

  • Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 2:00 pm
    • Wednesday mornings start at 10 am
  • Monday evenings from 6:00pm – 8:00 pm
