Reduced Cost and Free Resources

Free Transit Passes

With the help of a Metro RTO grant, we’re providing free transit passes for qualifying individuals to use for travel to and from Washington Park.

If you participate in a low-income assistance program (EBT, TANF, WIC), you can request your TriMet passes on this page. Just indicate which qualifying program you participate in to receive your passes within 10 business days.

Each ticket is a day pass, covering transit to and from the Park in a single day, and valid for TriMet bus and TriMet Max (light rail) service.

Request your passes here:

TRANSIT OPTIONS FOR THE PARK

TriMet’s Red or Blue MAX Lines stop at the Washington Park MAX Station. TriMet’s Line 63 makes a direct link from Pioneer Courthouse Square to the International Rose Test Garden.

The Washington Park Free Shuttle runs daily, every 15-30 minutes and links all of these transit stops to the attractions in the Park.

This program is made possible with support from Metro and the Federal Transit Administration, which provides travel options and information across the region.

Parking Validation for Families Living on a Low Income

In partnership with Portland Parks and Recreation, we are providing a limited number of parking validation codes valid for 3 hours of parking within Washington Park.
