DESCRIPTION:Need a beautiful place to display your nature collection? Join Angela Ruggles from The Nature Atelier and make a unique curio shelf out of clay. In this workshop\, we will turn a slab of clay into a piece of art using hand building techniques. Each participant will create a small shelf (approximately 9 X 11 inches) with custom nooks for nature treasures. The pieces will be dried\, fired\, and returned at a later date.

Each workshop attendee will receive a handmade reusable flower press and weÕll fill it up with plants! WeÕll cover how to use a flower press\, what plants press best\, where to find plants and fun ideas for how to use the plants you preserve. If the weather permits weÕll take a short walk around the arboretum to identify plants that press well.
