Getting a Passport
Passports are available for free wherever you see a Mike Bennett Earth Week character: at the Oregon Zoo Entry Plaza, World Forestry Center Discovery Museum, Hoyt Arboretum Visitor Center, Portland Japanese Garden Welcome Center, and Rose Garden Store. Passports will be available between April 20 and April 26. You can also download a passport and print it at home before you get to the Park.
Turning In a Passport
You can turn in your completed passport wherever you see a Mike Bennett Earth Week character: at the Oregon Zoo Entry Plaza, World Forestry Center Discovery Museum, Hoyt Arboretum Visitor Center, Portland Japanese Garden Welcome Center, and Rose Garden Store. Passports will be accepted between April 20 and April 26. Make sure to include your name and contact information on your passport so we can reach you if you win!
Contestants and Winners
The Earth Week in Washington Park Passport Contest is open to all ages. One passport entry per person. One winner will be selected at random on April 28. Explore Washington Park staff will contact the winner via the phone number or email address included on the passport.
FAQs
Is it free to participate?
Yes! No entry fee is required. Passports will be stamped outside of ticketed gates. Some paid attractions will even offer Earth Week activities outside of their ticketed gates at no cost; others will require admission to enter and join the Earth Week activity.
Where can I get my TriMet passport stamp?
If you took TriMet to Washington Park, you can get a TriMet stamp in your passport at any attraction along with your attraction stamp—just tell the staff you rode public transit!
When are the participating attractions open during Earth Week?
- Oregon Zoo: Daily 9am–6pm (last entry 5pm).
- World Forestry Center: Tuesday–Sunday 10am–4pm. Closed Monday.
- Hoyt Arboretum Visitor Center: Daily 10am–4pm.
- Rose Garden Store: Thursday–Monday 9am–7pm. Closed Tuesday–Wednesday.
- Portland Japanese Garden: Regular hours: Wednesday–Monday 10am–6:30pm (last entry 5:30pm); Tuesday 12pm–6:30pm (last entry 5:30pm). Member hours: Wednesday–Monday 8am–10am.
