Botanical Illustration: Hoyt’s Herbarium Collection Comes To Life

Join Brett Rousseau as she leads you through the journey of creating watercolor botanical illustrations based on HoytArboretum’s very own herbarium collection. We will use herbarium “vouchers” (plant samples that are pressed, dried, and mounted for cataloging Hoyt’s collection) as our muse. We will capture their leaves, stems, flowers, and fruits with our imagination and paint brush. This is a great stepping stone to painting plants from life. This event is coordinated by Hoyt Arboretum and registration is required through their website.
