Forest Field Day: Tree ID

Hoyt Arboretum has over 2,300 types of trees – can you tell one tree from another? This can take many years to learn, but we want to help get your tree ID journey started! Join our Forest Field Day in May to learn the basics of how to know what tree you are looking at. Is it tall? Does is have big, flat leaves? Is the bark smooth or rough? There are so many characteristics to observe and explore as you become a tree ID expert! This event is coordinated by Hoyt Arboretum and registration is required through their website.
