Join Wildlife Biologist Avery Craddock for an evening ‘owl’ about owls! We will be learning about the importance of different owl species in our northwest forests and getting hands-on field experience while we’re at it! Bring your headlamps, jackets, and hiking shoes, because we will be using special tools to try and locate some owls during the program! Class will start indoors where we will spend 30-60 minutes reviewing owls that are native to the northwest, which owls you might find around Hoyt Arboretum, and problems that owls face in our own backyards. We will then head out around sunset to put our new skills to the test to see if we can locate some of our elusive nocturnal friends. Who knows what we might find! This event is coordinated by Hoyt Arboretum, and registration is required through their website.
