Join environmental educator Roland Begin for a 90-minute easy-going walk among the native trees and shrubs of the Pacific Northwest. This tour will focus on basic plant identification, their seasonal cycles, as well as their many uses.
Public tours are held rain or shine. Dress for the weather, and wear comfortable shoes for walking on trails. The route is approximately 1 mile and will include some ups and downs along the way. Most of the tour route will travel on well-graded packed dirt or gravel trails.
Masks are not required for outdoor programs in Portland parks but are encouraged indoors. If you are feeling any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay safe and stay home.
Pacific Northwest Plants is a free guided tour, but registration is required (group size is limited). Meet at the Hoyt Arboretum Visitor Center.
