Explore the wonders of trees with an outdoor nature-inspired art class! This class will explore the texture of trees through various printmaking techniques using leaves, bark, and other eco-friendly art materials. We will look closely at trees in the Arboretum for inspiration and create unique works of art to bring home. This class is for children ages 5-8 (optional drop-off).

You will search high and low with experienced birder Laura Whittemore as you learn how to identify common birds of Hoyt Arboretum by sight and sound. Learn where to look for certain species as well as what clues can be helpful when attempting to identify quick moving birds. No previous birding experience is required. Binoculars will be available to borrow.
