Bamboo Fence Workshop 2023 will be conducted by Sadafumi (Sada) Uchiyama, Chief Curator and Director of International Japanese Garden Training Center.

Join one of our volunteer guides on a Garden tour for members and their guests only, during member hours.

Enjoy a free koto harp performance by Oregon Koto-Kai.

Visitors can write a wish to add to the colorful display of tanzaku, or wish strips, hanging from bamboo in the Garden’s Crumpacker Bamboo Allee. Visitors will also have the chance to hear the Tanabata story and listen to a taiko performance.
