How much does admission cost?

The Oregon Zoo highly recommends purchasing tickets online. Exceptions can be made for cash transactions or international forms of payment.

Adults admission: $26.00

Child admission (ages 2-11): $21.00

Admission is free of charge for any children under 2 years of age.

A few things to note regarding Zoo admission:

  • Admission varies by season – be sure to double check the Zoo’s website for updates on admission.
  • The Oregon Zoo offers discounted admission for Oregon and Washington individuals and families who qualify for certain income assistance programs. If you participate in an eligible program, you may buy up to four tickets at $13 each for you and your immediate family.

On busier days, what’s the best way to get to the Zoo?

Taking TriMet is the best way to maximize your trip on busier days! The MAX Blue and Red lines stop at the Washington Park MAX Station, just a short elevator ride from the Oregon Zoo entrance. You’ll save money, skip the stress of parking, and help reduce traffic in the Park.

If you’re coming from the westside, you can hop on MAX at the Sunset Transit Center Park & Ride just two exits west of the Oregon Zoo, where there are 600+ free parking spaces available. The MAX ride to the Park is just a few minutes.

Do I have to pay for parking at the Oregon Zoo?

Yes. There is a fee for parking at the Oregon Zoo. You can pay hourly or for the day.

Pay to park by the hour: $2.40

Pay to park for the day: $9.60

Be sure to note your license plate when you pay to park. You can pay at parking meters or pay-by-phone on the Parking Kitty app.

Can I host my next event at the Oregon Zoo?

When does the Oregon Zoo get the most busy?

Tickets sell out on sunny weekends and days when kids have time off from school. The Oregon Zoo highly recommends visitors buy tickets in advance. The Zoo can get especially busy during big seasonal events like ZooLights, BrewLights, and other themed events.

Are the Train and Carousel always open when the Zoo is open?

Typically if the Oregon Zoo is open, the Train and Carousel are also running, but sometimes these attractions will close seasonally. You can always call the Oregon Zoo at (503) 226-1561 to confirm the operational status of both the Train and Carousel if those attractions are on the top of your list.

Can I rent a scooter, wheelchair, or stroller when I visit the Oregon Zoo?

Yes! The Oregon Zoo offers rentals for scooters, wheelchairs, and strollers.

Single stroller: $10.00
Double stroller: $13.00
Wheelchair: $10.00
EV Scooter: $25.00

When do Keeper Talks take place?
